Kuler. helps you explore, create and share colour themes! It’s all online and it’s free. I have just been playing around with it and can see I will be using it a lot in the future.

Kule! Wish we knew about this when we designed LogoSauce. Maybe we need some green here?

However -we shouldn’t lose sight of old fashioned personal taste. Each of us posses an idea of what we like (good or bad in the eyes of others). While applying science to the selection is great for some – think how boring life would be if everything looked the same.

Humans make life interesting.

It’s an awesome tool, but I found their color wheel to be too bright. I tried adjusting the hex value of one color to 000000 and it defaulted to a dark gray 323232 or something to that effect. Do you know if there is a way to darken the entire color wheel?

No idea arsagano – maybe try to contact the Kuler people.

@arsagano – since Kuler is a web-based service, their wheel must neccesarily default to so-called ‘web-safe’ black which is that dark grey you came up with. A back-lit monitor cannot display a ‘colour’(true black) that is by definition, the absence of light, since that monitor uses light to render what you see. Cheers.
