Thoughts to ponder. I think this site is awesome, i just have say that I wish that the comments were more constructive than just beautiful and nice. Speaking for myself, I would prefer a much more critical analysis. These thoughts should challenge us as designers and as creative people.

Would like to see a private message system. Also would prefer to see all entries on one page. Keep up the good work. Am enjoying being here.

I submitted my work august 2, 2007 for Redbrick Logo Contest just in time and 1 day ahead of the deadline…but i found out that it was not included on the list of the entries until the contest closed. Why is it not included, and theres no reason or comment sent or notice me if why…if i’m disqualified or not, it’s like I just waisted my time doing the logo. I don’t say that it was the best logo but I was frustrated that it was not included on the list knowing that I submitted it on the right time. I’m sorry for the question and for this comment I just want to clarify.

I like the many logo ideas I see. Can you help me to get in touch with soe? My e-mail to her has come back twice.

hmm a few of my ideas i would like to see added:

1.) mirc(or some sort of chat system) 2.) a forum Would be good to hand around see tutorials etc learn and find out how to get more involved with logo sauce than just doing logo’s and competitions 3.) Instead of contacting others through e-mail an in website messaging system to contact each other. 4.)A place to see who is online or not pretty simple stuff and could make a lot of difference. 5.) a new layout..don’t get me wrong the current layout is fine and it does the trick BUT doesn’t mean to say it cant be improved and an improvement can only mean better things, could be a key thing in helping the website grow faster.

I have written e-mails to aan soe, the designer, and to david@logosauce.com, and since May 23, 2008 I haven’t had a reply. I have chosen a design but what appears to be a technicality (the artist hasn’t uploaded the design properly) is preventing things from going ahead. It’s true the artist isn’t replying, but this happened earlier because the system was down and the communication got established later on. However, the artist did provide the design we were looking for and what I would like logosauce to do is to provide me with the artwork and keep the prize money until the artist gets back in touch. It was suggested that I choose one of the other designs, but none comes even close to representing as well what we are looking for. We want to get going with our publicity, and it would be appreciated if logosauce made an effort to let us have the chosen artwork now. You no doubt have web experts and you can surely overcome this technical difficulty. The design is there! Why should we suffer if your uploading procedure is hard to follow for some artists? I too found your website a bit awkward to follow, so please, make an exception to your technical rules and get me the design that suits us well and that is in your possession.

After spending sometime as a member and designer I had a few things: 1) The point system is whack. Some brand owners, often it feels, chose not the best design but,one based on the popularity generated by the scoring system of logosauce.which artificially inflates the true interest of that design. 2) There is some real talent here and the winners should be compensated accordingly. The brand owners are allowed to cherry pick from really nice work. They all know that professional branding can make or break a business and these people wouldn’t be looking unless they wanted something for nothing. By the time winner pays taxes and font usage fees (everyone’s paying their fees right?),and because of your ultra low minimum they don’t end up with much. Sure competition stiff, we all enjoy that part but, competition deserve compensation. 3)I agree with YoungGold’s #2 a real forum would be nice to help build the ‘sauce’ into something great. just one more: try inverting the comment box to show recent comments first Thanx…NervisGrafix

as others have pointed out, I would like to see some social aspects added to the site, so communication were easier. a resources repository would be nice, with tutorials (Written by and for logosauce users?) and maybe visualization aids (like hi-rescutouts of vehicles for presentation purposes). Otherwise the site rocks! I couldnt hope for abetter place to display my work!

one more thing to add…...I dont mind so much in the preview, but the jpeg compression you are using is causing color bleed in the logos I upload. kind of frustrating because it detracts from the impact of the work. note: it seems to happen mostly on high contrast colors…...
