The LogoSauce Blog
Scoring change
Today we’ve just released a change to the LogoSauce scoring system (see this previous post )
Now a View is worth 0.25 points rather than 0.5pts. This change is so that rank is decided more by Votes than views. Even with the change Views still account for most of the points. So in most cases rank has not changed.
This now means that rating or votes by members will be more important. So if you’ve got freinds, colleagues customers who haven’t voted on your logos yet, get them signed up and voting.
We’ve made this change partly because we’ve had some concerns raised over profiles with high rankings but not necessarily great designs. The scores of these profiles are obviously pushed up by number of views. More logos listed = more views = higher rank.
We’re also considering adding extra bonus points when a logo is added to a Favourites list. If you haven’t tried the Favourutes function – check it out.
Tip: If you’re a designer and want more views make sure you post regularly. If your logo appears on the home page under recent logos – you have a much greater chance of getting clicked on (viewed).

Surely a vote from an established member of the site whether good or bad should count more than from someone who hasn’t even got any logos in their portfolio.

Much better idea I’m sure this will have a positive affect on the site all round. (I wondered why the scores looked different this morning)
