LogoSauce is International!

Having a look at the new Google Analytics for LogoSauce. (Very impressed with the new Analytics tools from Google).

What’s interesting and pleasing is the global map view of visitors to the site. The view below shows visitors by location (Jan to May visits).

UK and NZ look like hot spots otherwise there is plenty of action in Europe, North America, South America and Asia. Even from Africa.

As you can see we are very international with visitors from all over the globe. Gotta love that Internet!

Yep, that’s how it is my good friend Digger, we really like the Idea of a Multicultural community, that’s the best way to globalize your creativity and have a snap of what is happening and what is hot in other cultures.

Glad to be the Precursor of “El Cartel de Tijuana” www.masportijuana.com, representing Tijuana México, spreading the word of this great community and hoping to get the same support of all the “logo geeks” when we launches our masportijuana.com community as well.

3 Thumbs Up !!! For the Community of the tomatoes…Logo Sauce.

Y Un saludote a los Tijuanacos que son parte ya de esta comunidad para que sigan representando y poniendo en alto el nombre de Tijuana con su grande talento y diseño multicultural.

Yes agree with Jose there. Great improvements to the site Digger. I hope everyone here doesn’t take this great free site for granted. The new layout has further improved what was already a fantastic ‘global’ website. Hats off to you and your team.

Thanks guys – we’re having fun doing this and we hoped the changes would be well received. We’ve got some more changes coming – hope we can get them right too.

p.s do you think we need to look at multi language support at some stage or is English OK?

By chanpion over 1 years ago

Multi-lingual support would definitely be great IF its not too much trouble for you guys. Purely the fact that users would be exposed to other countries that are just as diverse in their designs. It would be a great learning curve and an absolute eye-opener for beginners and professionals alike! If you do pull it off, would you be the first site of its kind to have this feature?!

By Davidoff over 1 years ago

If you need some help about french and portuguese/brasilian versions of a multi-lingual site, let me know ;-) But i’m not sure to have this type of site is really necessary – because Logosauce has a very simple navigation understandable by the most of people.

Digger, need your help here. I don’t know where to post this but here it is. All my logos entered for the already closed competitions have been kick out. The rule says “Once closed you may not add new entries but may UPDATE or withdraw an entry.” I’ve made some updates to the titles of my logos, but they aren’t in the competitions anymore. Why is that? Is there a way to put them back in? Published dates are before the competitions close deadlines.

By Davidoff over 1 years ago

Same here, my National Speed entry has been kicked out too after updating notes

By Digger over 1 years ago

Working on a fix guys. Did you update after the close off? probably need to change the wording. I don’t think you should be able to update ater close off – or do disagree.

By moon over 1 years ago

yep, update was done after the close date. I only updated the titles. By right i do agree that we shouldn’t be able to update the artwork, but minor updates like change notes, titles, brand owner details, etc.. should be allowed. Only the visual of the logo shouldn’t be. Now what will happen? will our logos be re-entered in the competitions?

Hey Guys what’s up, everything is ok, there’s a lot of traffic coming to this site, much of them are graphic design students, and pros from TIJUANA México or from any part of the world come on, lets keep it simple and calm and don’t start to make this thin a RACIAL issue, if Mexican food the only thing that you know about México, this is a great place to know and have the opportunity of interact and exchange opinion, ideas, culture and some other opinions, but make it a racial thing, we pretty much don’t appreciate “bad or mal intentioned comments” about the origin of a person, or did any one see any bad opinion or bad comment about race, color, origin or culture from any of the MEXICAN members? Come on….and also traffic and diversity is what gives that extra spice to this “SAUCE” or am I wrong.

Hi guys…My opinion?...This is a great site with wonderful work. I hope that someday I will be able to do as well as you fellows. Digger, thank you and to everyone, thanks for your patience

honestly, it’s probably better off not allowing any updates to an entry once a competition is closed; if you allow any kinds of changes, you risk confusing the competition holder, as he or she may have made mental notes or whatever based on titles/descriptions of logos. Besides, most of these competitions run long enough that if you can’t get in any updates before the closing day, well that’s just your tough luck. In the “real world”, if your boss or client gives you a deadline and you accept, you would not dream of saying to them (after the deadline has past), “Oh, can I have that back, I forgot to do this and that, blah blah blah”. Now, once a winner has been chosen, well i see no problem allowing updates to the titles and stuff; just be sure to show a “last modified/updated on” date timestamp somewhere so people will realize something has changed since they probably last looked. Just my opinion though. I did study computer science in college, and have done back-end design (MYSQL, SQL Server,PHP, asp.net etc) for years now, so I do halfway know what I’m talking about ;) Atleast I like to think I do!

Thanks guys and gals.

We’ve fixed a couple of bugs in the competition area. Should solve the issue of entries falling out of a competition when editing.

Thanks Digger for fix it
