Going Up 1300+
Since we blogged about reaching 999 logos 13 days ago – we’ve seen a big surge in logos (now 1309). That’s about 23 per day.
A lot of this activity has come about due to Competitions which have also jumped (currently 11 active competitions).
Now we have a new problem – competition entries are dominating the recent listing and home page. Competition entries are by their very nature like work in progress and not always beautiful. Unfortunately there is now a lack of “Final Art” logos appearing on the home page.
So how do we fix this?
We think we should separate competition entries from final art on the home page and also introduce an up and coming list for good designs that are climbing through the rankings.
Instead of one panel on the home page with the 12 most recent logos we will have 3 panels. 1. With most recent 6 logos (excluding competition entries), 2. most recent competition entries and 3. up and coming logos.
What do you think – would this improve the user experience?

Sounds a much better idea, the competition entries seem to be overpowering the other designs
