The LogoSauce Blog
New look and feel
Ok here we go….
New CSS look and feel, no scores on thumbnails, tweaks here and there. New simple logo. More of your logos, less noise around it.
We pushed this design change tonight. tell us what you think.
Please let us know if you see any improvement or otherwise.

In firefox, and could not see the box I’m typing in now to leave this comment. Everything’s black. Honestly, I usually like simple, but I feel this is too simple. Also, you should be able to see score and # of comments for your own logos atleast. I used to jump on each day to see if any new comments were posted on my logos, but now I can’t even do that. Sorry, I give the new design a tentative thumbs down…
Another messup. I just viewed http://logosauce.com/logos/2833, and the description for the logo exceeded the size of the white box it is in and basically just ran over all the comment text. I’m a full time employeed web designer, and I realize this is in beta, but before putting any sites live I test them fully in all browsers to make sure I address any legibility issues. But that is just my two cents.
onesummer is spot on – before anything goes live, make sure its right in every browser.
Tbh, I’m not a huge fan of the new layout. Its just black and white – nothing unique about it that makes it stand out. The logo is an odd choice, is it meant to be a drip of sauce? or just a rushed vector?
Probably just takes abit of time to get used to I guess. Lets hope the speed improves :]
I struggled making this comment because of the white type on black it’s not a good idea. Need to be able to see scores beneath logos as well.
old design was perfect, also old logo was very very good.
I’m in agreement with everyone else – probably NOT what you wanted to hear!
Much preferred the fun and distinctive ‘old’ logo, the new one is uninspiational for a site as good as this.
I also preferred seeing scores and comments, as onesummer quite rightly pointed out, it was great to see if anyone had added comments to any of your designs.
A thumbs down from me too :[
nice redesign.yeah but i think this is gonna make my eyes search in the dark for a little time and yes the old logo rocked!
I don’t like the large search field at the top of the site. Cookies don’t work. We have to enter our login/password everytime we visit logosauce.
Your NETWRK link at the foot doesn’t work just in case it’s an important outgoing link
hm…not what i expected, its kinnda too hollow, the old design had a friendly feel, and now its…i dont know too…dont like it at all, sorry mates. also i dont see the scores on my logos,i have to klick everytime i wanna see if anyone left a coment or rated :(
I agree with most of the other comments made about the redesign. I miss not being able to see the scores under the thumbnails. The site has a very stark, cold appearence and I’m finding text very difficult to read, especially the client briefs.
yep agree with most of the comments it’ll be nice to see the scores and comments on your own designs , the new logo doesn’t work for me the old one was much better.
Ok I agree with most of the comments too. We do test in Safari, Firefox and IE (usually) but I think Matts still recovering from his month long holiday in Europe and missed a step. :-) Unfortunately we had an outage yesterday when we uploaded the change and lost some earlier CSS tweaks. So our apologies for that. We also upgraded the server last night chasing performance improvements but still need to make some code changes to improve further.
I think the old logo will be coming back – I also love our little kitch tomato bottle!
Well.. I’ve fixed a few issues. Sorry about that. And will be updating it regularly with fixes and changes. The idea wasn’t to be stark or cold, but bring more focus to your logos. Keep up with the suggestions! Is there anything you like about the new style??
Scores and Comments are back.
The text below the logos is still a bit unreadable. Try to fix it.

Navigation is better but i prefer the previous logo (more funny & distinctive). lot of problems with types under safari-mac.
