Today we released to production some changes to address general site performance.
We hope you see some improvements across the board.
As usual please give us your feedback.

We just had logo number 4445 Belching Frog posted and there are now 1203 user profiles.
Competitions continue to roll in with competition number 84 from Bridges Electrical just posted.
However we’ve had some emails from competition winners that they are still waiting for payment/closure. We’ve emailed the users concerned to gently remind them of their obligations in each case – but other than that have little control.
This will change in the near-future.
We are adding a requirement for Competition Owners to make the prize payment when a competition is started. We’ll hold the prize money in trust. Payment won’t actually be deducted from the owners CC straight away but will be deducted at the close date of the competition. In order to validate the card and to cover transaction costs and our admin time, we’ll charge a 10% admin fee which will be charged when the competition is created/approved.
Once a winner is selected we’ll then pay the winner directly via PayPal.

I would love to see the Comp Section revised…...as I have heard some say, there should be a separation between closed comps and open comps and/or by prize money too…...

There is a typo on your competitions page:
“Competitions will me moderated …”

Doh ….Cheers 10squared. Will get it fixed.
Re Marzy’s comment above. Everytime you update a logo, your points are wiped and the wee sauce bottles on comments are reduced down to two. I know the points don’t actually correlate with the final outcome, but positive feedback via points and comments is rewarding. So I can see why it is tempting to upload a new version as a separate entry rather than update a current version and have your score wiped. Digger, can anything be done about this?
Hi Lipstick. The trouble is you can’t keep points if you change the design. Votes for one design shouldn’t apply to a new design. So you should upload a second entry rather than update an existing logo.

Good stuff excellent to see the comp payment idea. it would be could to have a rule that suggests that if you enter a comp then you have to vote on every entry, and only when it ends. Plus limit slight variations of logo designs should be limited to one single entry as i’ve seen people submitting loads of entries that are font weight changes. These should be made when the clients picked the entry on its conceptual merits alone.
