Who we are
We are a small Dutch startup building a suite of web applications for small to medium businesses. Our first app will be a tool to help recruiting agencies manage their candidates and vacancies, and help them make the best match.
We already have a few clients signed up in the fashion and retail industry but since out efforts are still concentrated on the technical effort our branding effort has been lacking. Considering the visual nature of the industry our clients operate in this is something to be remedied a.s.a.p. We are looking for a designer who will help us build the Virtuo brand, starting with the logo. If this works out well we might ask the winning designer to cooperate on the (re)design of the application and the public website as well.
We believe in doing business in an open way, keeping the core business as flexible as possible and sharing the workload using the possibilities of the internet wherever possible. Logosauce competitions fit perfectly in this philosophy.
What we have
To get a feel for the ‘look’ we are looking for please refer to the mockups for our temporary web presence.
This definitely still needs some work but the main elements such as the color palette and the natural theme should be obvious hints as to where we want to take this. Although we would love to see some experimentation a logo that would fit the current theme would have our preference. The current theme is derived from our philosophy of open communication and the buddhist background of one of the partners who came up with the current ‘brand’.
What we need
The logo should be usable in online media and print. It might be nice if the logo included a standalone element that could serve in situations with limited space (favicon for instance) or simply as a nice visual identification when text is unwanted (on a t-shirt perhaps) but this is not a necessity.
Competition amount is $250, paid via PayPal, for logo source files + rights.

tnx
nice work Sebb, simple, clean and elegant
I would like to ask the contestants to hang on for one more week. We didn’t reach an agreement on the winning logo today and we won’t have time for another meeting until next week. Sorry about the wait. At least all the partners are taking it very seriously :) Thanks for your patience!
Please find the new option with black background, go to my profile. thanks
I think the winner will show up on the competition page under closed competitions. We are currently in the process of selecting the winner. Which is very very hard, but we’ll try to pick one as soon as possible.
Wonder who the winner is! How to know that on LogoSauce (as I am new to this site)?
wow! only two more days left… this is going to be a very hard decision to make.
@Edie: ah yes is see, those are private. sorry about that. please just go on what i said then…
But we can not check your favorites!
in response to a request for a bit more guidance i got from on of the competitors:
I’m looking for something that would fit an innovative online software company that takes pride in using modern internet era business methods such as outsourcing, data integration through API’s and more to deliver a reasonable priced solutions to small and medium companies. Solutions that naturally (thats where natural comes in) fit the way you do business. Does that answer the question for you? :)
We already have some sort of theme as you can see but as long as it does not stray too far from that idea (modern, upbeat, open) i would like to see a range of possibilities since i don’t know what would fit best. Thats what this competition is for.
For a look at what i like you can check out my favorites (i’m tizzle on the site). I don’t want more of the same though, but it might give you a sense of the aesthetic i like.
Thanks! Tijs (Tizzle)
Yes i’m very pleased with the results so far. Great response!
Man there is some great logos here. It’s gonna be hard to choose a winner I reckon. Fantastic work so far designers.

Excellent win Sebb. You’re getting very good at winning these things. Keep up the good work.
