Searidge Foundation is a Canadian residential addiction treatment centre for individuals suffering from drug and alcohol abuse. It is affiliated to Heritage Home Foundation (www.sobriety.ca) and will be following the same model of treatment. Searidge will be located in the Province of Nova Scotia and is in the process of converting a motel into a treatment facility. Size
We are by design a small facility and rightfully call ourselves a Home. We limit ourselves to accepting 16 clients. We do so to be able to offer a very personal and individualized professional treatment to all our clients with good comfort. We want to get to know our clients well, and get a good understanding of their situation and problems, and that can only be achieved in a smaller size group. We feel that is the only way to provide really effective therapy and avoid having anyone fall through the cracks, as so often happens in a larger facility where a cookie cutter, institutional, mindset tends to take over.

Psychotherapy
Our primary therapy is psychological – medical. All our therapists/counsellors are University trained in Psychology and Addictions at accredited US and Canadian Universities. We provide evidence-based, effective therapy as cognitive behavioural therapy, rational emotive behavioural therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and cognitive bias modification therapy, all with a focus on individual and group psychotherapy.
