Details:

My partner and I are currently establishing an Executive and Personal Coaching business: CoachVista Inc.

Professional Coaching is an interactive process that helps individuals and organizations improve their performances and achieve extraordinary results. Professional coaches work with clients in all areas including business, career, finances, health and relationships. As a result of professional coaching, clients set better goals, take more action, make better decisions, and are more fully use their natural strengths.

Individuals and organizations who engage in a professional coaching relationship will experience fresh perspectives on personal challenges and opportunities, enhanced decision-making skills, greater interpersonal effectiveness, and increased confidence in carrying out their chosen work and life roles. Consistent with a commitment to enhancing their personal effectiveness, they can also expect to see appreciable results in the areas of productivity, personal satisfaction with life and work, and the achievement of personally relevant goals.

Coaching concentrates on where individuals are now and what and where they are willing to do to get where they want to be in the future.

Our clientèle includes both executives of corporations, groups within organizations, as well as individuals looking for help in their career and life choices. However, because coaching is relatively new industry there is a need to increase awareness of what coaching is and the return on investment provided by it.

Our market is world wide, however, we are currently based in Ottawa Canada. We will rely heavily on our website presence to both attract clients, and disseminate information about our services. To that end, we are looking for a bright fresh contemporary web savvy look to our logo. From this will flow our site design, and print advertising.

Please feel free to use whatever fonts/colours/case you feel are cutting edge. It must be able to be used both in print and online/digital display. I am not sure if Vector format is what I need? You are the professionals so I defer to your judgment. Please provide colour numbers so they can be reproduced by our printer/web designers.

The logo must include a symbol and text for company name: CoachVista

Keywords would be: professional, experienced, innovative, vision, creative, vibrant, collaborative, leadership, productivity, competencies, goals, possibilities, opportunity, achievements, growth

The designer is required to surrender all rights and files on completion of the competition and sign a release to that effect.

Credit for the design will be acknowledged on our website.

Competition amount is $300 USD for all files and rights.

Any questions can be emailed to me: gmccrea@gmail.com

Good luck, thank you for your time and help with this project.

Regards Greg McCrea

I just wanted to let everyone know that because a ‘checkmark’ is a common graphic, it will be next to impossible to actually copyright it (in the US) as an icon or separate entity of any logo. I went through this with the LOC already, so I just wanted to let everyone else know.

Gr8. Everyone is happy now. Cheers :)

Thank you for the clarification, there’s already some great designs in this contest and I hope this discussion doesn’t take away from any of the efforts of the other entries.

By Digger over 12 months ago

Hi Guys -

Views are counted as part of total score – but only once per IP address. There is a slight bug in that views are counted up in a session and then reset. So this could result in the situation trendez reported – but seems unlikely. Toon has been a long term user, with excellent designs and has won competitions. His score and ranking is not surprising.

This is not the place to complain about this stuff – this page is about CouchVista competition – please move this discussion to somewhere more appropriate.

p.s Kharma has still not been done.

Hands up who’s heard of RSS feeds? You like something on the net and you press the little orange rss button in the corner and everytime something is uploaded or updated it feeds the page to an RSS feeder. I have over 600 RSS feeds being fed to me everyday including a few designers profiles here, (Subcircle, Kaimere, Digger, Onesummer, Grade, Sebb etc.) So everytime somebody uploads a new logo I click it to see what it’s like thus giving them 0.5 (I think) of a point for a view, it’s not that I’m trying to influence their scores I simply enjoy the work and maybe, just maybe a few people have my logos feeding their readers?

Always so easy to knock people on here isn’t it?

If I was really concerned about the competition scores why would I spend so much time leaving positive marks for the logos that are, according to you meant to be my competition? I don’t leave many negative marks here unless I feel they will help, I take the attitude if I’ve got nothing nice to say I’d rather say nothing at all but I like to give praise to some of the nicer work coming through and to the designers that aren’t caught up in the politics of the site.

This is a great website: Logo Sauce. I just think! we should all bind together and be positive, making this site more successful, and who knows what the future may hold for this great site, and its many designers from around the globe.

However, I do feel sometimes the way votes are placed for various logo designs are sometimes not always fair, i.e, I’ve seen some designs here, that have higher scores than other designs which are obviously much stronger visually.

If this continues I believe it will eventually tarnish Logo Sauce’s image, and many designers will either remove their profiles in due course once they have sufficiently built up a resonable number of logos, or not bother at all.

Fair competition for all designers, not the few… :)

We are the originators of the Coachvista Competition. We are following this discussion regarding views per logo. We have been tremendously impressed by all of the submissions and are grateful for the interest you have expressed in creating a logo for our new company. Such a broad spectrum of creativity and depth of insight into our product and our intent has been brilliantly been interpreted by all. Please keep your submissions coming in. We are encouraged and enthused by them. We can understand your concerns with views in and amongst your competition, but rest assured, we are focussed on what will best portray this exciting new company…..that’s the mind of entrepreneurs, at least ours. Kind regards and many thanks for your efforts thus far and looking forward to more…..Sincerely Greg McCrea.

@cwilk this is not a public bashing directed at toon in my part , as i said i really like his work , and your right this is not the place to be having this discussions were just clogging this comp.

By Cwilk over 12 months ago

I also wanted to add that many of us belong to the same design forum and when we post logos on here, we sometimes link from that forum to LS. When I say many of us, I mean hundreds. I’m not sure how many belong here to LS, but that is a possibility.

By Cwilk over 12 months ago

I’d like to make note that some of mine jump in points at times and then readjust, or points have gone down. This doesn’t mean I’m cheating and I’ve questioned this happening. I think that LS has been modifying and doing major overhauls that affects our scores at times. I’ve emailed Digger directly, so I think this matter should have been brought up to LS and not have become a public bash session against Toon.

By +java over 12 months ago

i may have expressed my self wrong , i know that points are nothing to go by and certainly does not discourage me at all but i think that a rating system is suppose to be the same for all …. no???

By trendez over 12 months ago

@Kaimere: By beginer, I mean to say toon is far better than me. And its not that I’m not confident about my job. I am working as a designer for a multi national company. I was just bringing to notice that something is wrong. And you don’t realize how points make difference, it makes psychological difference in viewers vision.

By trendez over 12 months ago

That point doesn’t win but it certainly draws attention. And you will have psychological impact that if so people are visiting the logo, it must have something special. I am also not against toon. I was just wondering what is the reason behind that.

By +java over 12 months ago

i actually notice this to with a couple of other recent entries by toon , and i know that points doesnt win you the contest but i think that this is unfair for the community here every one should be rated the same way , i was reading the karma vote blog and i dont know if this is the case but it seam’s weird to me . and this is nothing against toon he has great work in his portfolio, but its a little discouraging to know that 1 click could give some one 2 points and not everyone ….. just my 2 cents.peace!!!!

By trendez over 12 months ago

I am not against anyone but I would like to bring to everyone’s notice that “toon” is doing something wrong here. Either he’s using any automated script or any 3rd party tool….He’s using that just to make the “views” of his logo higher which in turn increases his score. I was just looking at the logosauce homepaeg and within 15 mins his view increased from 8 to 819. Is this possible? I know this site is in “beta” but this is a serious matter. By increasing views everyone thinks that his logo is perfect. Infact I love toon’s logos but this is not the way. I’m afraid this site will loose its popularity among designers like us. I am a begineer and toon maybe a high class designer but he should have the guts to compete fairly.

I know I’m going to get hell lot of negative responses but think about it once. He uses some trick and suddenly after 15 mins of posting, his logo becomes top logo within current month. Isn’t this something we cannot accept. Also I noticed that after about 17-18 minutes, the score decreased from 220 to 100. This happenes when you visit the logo multiple time from the same IP…the score increases and then later on decreases. So something is definitely not going well.

Dear all, I didn’t want to be rude but don’t you all think it is a matter to be taken care of. I hope everyone takes it the positive way. Best of luck to all and hope beginers/intermediaters are not discouraged like this.
