The Brief

Logo for our new law firm needed.

We have just opened the European office for a Brazilian law firm and are now in need of a logo for our company.

The European office is still very small and comes with a “start-up atmosphere”. The Brazilian head office, however, employs over 100 lawyers and has been in existence for over 35 years. We therefore need to combine the idea of a “fresh start” (into Europe) with this tradition.

The logo will be used on our website as well as on all sorts of printed matter, so it should work well in a lot of different environments.

The company name is “Felsberg & Partners Europe”.

These names (in the indicated order) also need to appear in the logo, but in a rather small script (as a byline to the company name) : “Felsberg, Pedretti, Mannrich, Aidar, Mietzel, Moritz”.

We would like the logo to have a graphic element that should either be placed on top or to the side of the text, since we would like to be able to use it on its own (separate from the text in the logo).

Please think “out of the box”, when it comes to the logo’s graphic component. It should not consist of one of the usual elements used to denote to legal services (i.e. Lady Justice, scales, an owl or something of this nature). We would rather have something more or less abstract that does not bear any inherent meaning but that is unique and easy to recall and will – in the long run – be associated with our office as much as (and independent of) our name.

The graphic component should be “light” / “airy”; nothing that dominates the logo (or any other space where it might later on by used) too much.

The logo must contain the following color:
Pantone 5615 U (C: 49% M: 0 Y: 44% K: 64%); (R: 56 G: 99 B: 81)

In addition to Pantone 5615 U, it would also be good if the following color could be employed:
Pantone 7545 U (C: 23% M: 2% Y: 0 K: 63%); (R: 92 G: 111 B: 123).

In total, we would envision the logo to contain two or three colors (four at the very most). If you can make it look good with just the two that we have explicitly mentioned, this would be all the better.

The final version of the logo should be available in eps format.

We look forward to your ideas and concepts!
