Virtual Organization NHow

Profile: Denis Joannides
Company: NHow

Opens: 13 March 2009
Closes: 01 April 2009
Prize value: US$230.00

Details:

NHow (pronounced: Know-How) is a virtual organization for freelance IT professionals in the Netherlands. We will help the freelancers to get new assignments quicker, improve their skills, increase their rate.

NHow exposes invisible contracts in the market. There are no contracts where you’d expect them to be and tons of them where you don’t expect them to be. NHow helps members of the organization to spot these opportunities and share them within the group.

We will offer the members: - Association with a brand that will provide an image of professionalism, quality and trust. - A possibility to relax their dependency on recruiters for new assignments. - A referral program designed to find the hidden assignments for each other. - A knowledge exchange program to keep everybody up-to-date regarding their IT knowledge. - A dedicated and effective training program to keep their skills up-to-date and matched with the market demand. - A real life professional social network normally only found among employees.

The members will be organized in cells, grouped by location, expertise and size. A cell will contain between 20 to 30 people. The cell forms a circle of trust in which the members exchange knowledge, experience and referrals. Cells will organize regular real life meetings.

Freelancers joining NHow will publicly display their membership by the following text on their business card: a member of NHow (logo)

TARGET AUDIENCE: - freelance IT professionals in the Netherlands. The average age is < 40 - end customers to brand NHow

IMAGE: The logo should have a professional image and also imply this is a new type of organization in which people work together (IT professionals with knowledge). It should have a cool factor and also be very modern. It should not be to IT specific as we may expand the concept to other professions. It’s about connecting freelancers, creating trust, improving skills and sharing knowledge and opportunities.

THE LOGO NEEDS TO DO The logo needs to convey: warmth, professionalism, trust and quality. The logo must make the member feel proud to be part of this virtual organization. The logo must express high quality & value to the customers. The logo needs to be able to brand the name in the market. It should easily be recognizable.

We would like to have a logo and , if possible, a style.

I like the idea that the N and H are somehow linked together: http://logosauce.com/logos/43601

Is it possible to have one with the name: nhow.nl

Good start. I think it’s better to have the name in lowercase.
