I’m looking for a logo for ‘CrimeAwareness’ which is a newsletter and soon-to-be website advising the populace how to decrease their chances of being victims of various crimes. The main content is instructional on how to secure properties, goods, and yourself from crimes such as home invasion and theft. It will be about creating a clear awareness and informing – rather than spreading fear, uncertainty and doubt.

Ideally I would like it to convey a certain defensiveness, but I’ll leave the exact interpretation option open if you’d like to interpret it using other crime related iconography. I like the idea of having a slight reflection of traditional police imagery, be it in the form of a crest, handcuff imagery, subtle two line square cheque or something, but if you want to go off in a different direction I’m very open to seeing your concepts.

The web address is www.crimeawareness.co.uk, there’s no content ported over yet and just a temporary blog theme illustrating the general sort of setting we’d like the logo to sit in. I’m happy to leave the colour scheme of the logo open to alteration too so as not to restrain your creativity.
