Photographer branding. Logo for business cards, watermarking and web/blog
My style is clean, sharp, sensitive, uncluttered and masculine. My branding should be too!
Newly into photography, I need especially to brand my pictures as an advertiser would brand his Ad in a magazine.
My name, Sean Martin, was given a logo a few years ago – I’m not insisting for this to be a part of my watermarking branding, but if you think it would be a great inclusion, then please include it. (eps file attached)
The logo needs to work across black, white and coloured backgrounds and be legible when applied to an A5 print.
What I do at the moment is simply find a place on a photo where “sean martin photography” can sit comfortably and appears visually balanced.
I’ve attached several of my photos for you to play around with and to use as a platform to demonstrate/present your entries.
I’ll provide helpful, constructive feedback all along the way.

AND THE WINNING ENTRY IS FROM Dzin. Congratulations and thanks for the great work!!!
Thanks to everyone who took the time and made the effort to submit an entry. I’m away on vacation for a couple of weeks and will return to pick the winner. Stay tuned.
Just a few days away from the closure of this competition and more than 90 submissions – simply amazing. What a wealth of creativity and skill. I can’t stress the importance of reading the information provided and those who have absorbed this information have made really valuable contributions to this competition. Thanks.
Great feedback!
“sean martin photography†is the brand, all the words of which should read with equal visual emphasis so that when scaled the full brand is readable and not just part of it. I think the sexiest letter is the “g†in photography. So how can you bring all of the words together in a clean, readable, sharp and sexy way with just fonts and font weights? Something where a modern, squiggly “g†is in the type. ((((( Example of what I mean is in the typeface here, http://new.myfonts.com/fonts/hubertjocham/narziss/drops/ ))))). Does there need to be capitals, or would lower case throughout also work? Please also take note that I do not want the branding to dominate the photo.
