The Brief
Logo that has the words “Drive Clean”. Words have to be clear are clear not hidden behind too many graphics or too much colour. Sophisticated, simple, stylish and functional.
I like 3D design, waves and color scales. (http://www.logoorange.com/logo-design-08.php)
But I DO like it rather classy than too “green”.
Logos I like for their simplicity and elegance:

Do not use more than three colors.
The logo must be recognizable.
Create a unique shape or layout for the logo.
Do not use clipart under any circumstances.
The logo should look good in black and white.
Make sure that the logo is recognizable when resized. (it will have to be possible to read at appr. 300×70px)
Do not use special effects (including, but not limited to: gradients, drop shadows, reflections, and light bursts).
Thanks so much! Exciting stuff…

Hi there. You’ve given us the basic information, but didn’t tell what your company is. Dry cleaners, car wash, cleaning products, car emissions ….?
Thanks. :)

Hi guys . I thought it would be clearer. This will be about car emissions // green vehicles. Not limited to passengers cars. Cheers and sorry for the confusion. best.

@ Alejandro, you are right. Not the most extensive briefing. To be honest I thought that I could access the description again AFTER I have uploaded it to make some changes. Well, it turns out that it is not possible. But the task at hand is hopefully clear now: a logo for a green vehicle portal. This portal will provide information about car and fleet emissions and will help consumers to choose the green drive thats most suitable for them. Take it easy.

@youi75 best bet is to add additional “brief” etc to this page as a comment as the competition tracks along.
We restrict access to the original brief to avoid wholesale changes to a brief that designers may already be working on.

To every one who competes here – I’m overwhelmed by the talent that is on display. So many geat ideas from so many people – and most fascinating – from so many nations. This is only day 2 and this already exceeds my expectations. I thank you so much for your spirit and your efforts – they are truly appreciated. What a thrilling ride and journey this is.

Hi everyone – day 2 of the competition comes to an end for me here in Southern California and I am overwhelmed with the efforts that you are all making. I’ll try to comment and critique every logo that was submitted so far tomorrow – I am drowning in work at the moment. And we have a little baby girl that still keeps us busy during the night. So please forgive me when it takes a little longer sometimes to give you all feedback. thanks so much to everyone. Good night and good luck :)

///// ONE WEEK TO GO/////
Hi everyone, after one week and more than 100!!! submitted entries It is time to thank all of you again.I thought about whether letting you know who are my favourites so far is a good idea or not for a while. Well, here they are (however, in random order):

Simply a nice and elegant design. Perfect technical execution. Gets the message across at first sight.Great use of a sans-serif font.

Logo works without the drive clean. Elegant and to the point.
http://logosauce.com/logos/56663
Same is true here. Great technique, great idea.
http://logosauce.com/logos/56602
Simple and elegant. Gets the message across. Good use of logo // font combination.

The very first entry. The leaves as emission was a great idea. The car is stil abit Dadaism though :)
One “special recognition”:

Realyl like the style – but it would rather work for a label than for a green verhicle portal. But the number of ideas in a one-color logo – nice one Jonze.
To all of you – have a great weekend! And thanks again!!
