LivePropertyMap.com web 2.0 logo

Profile: Melvin Green
Company: LivePropertyMap.com Ltd

Opens: 18 July 2007
Closes: 31 July 2007
Prize value: US$300.00

Details:

LivePropertyMap.com requires a new fresh logo for the new version of it’s software.

The logo needs to be a modern and fresh update on the existing logo. It needs to show the product/company is about producing tomorrows technology for it’s clients. The domain name must remain in the logo as this is placed on a clients website and becomes a strong piece of marketing for the company.

The current logo..

Dislikes.. Now looking old and tired. Dull colours Cheap looking Missing .com Lacks class Boring

Likes.. Easy to read Identifiable Bold “Live” in different font Landscape, good to place on websites

Ideas for new logo.. Web 2.0 style? A bit more expensive looking. Needs a little bit of detail I feel the orange should be red Modern

The target audience for the logo is Estate Agents (Real Estate). Estate Agents will often use fonts like Arial and Impact and big bold text and colours. Design can often be second place to having something stand out. Please bear this in mind that.

Bold, Clean, Modern, Cool, Fresh, Classy and Simple?

We would expect full rights and source files to the chosen logo, and would most likely come back to the designer for our areas relating to branding for the new website and printed material.

Feel free to ask me any questions on [logo at livepropertymap dot com]

Good luck!

Design Brief Update – 20 July 07 To save wasting people’s time I am updating this brief with some pointers that should help everyone get closer to what I am looking for. I just hate to see people going down the wrong path and wasting their valuable time. I am not necessary looking for the finished logo, mainly the idea/design to be further progressed once selected as the winner. So, a few helpful pointers.. The brand should have nothing to do with any Google icons. No speech bubbles, push pins etc. Estate agents are not wowed over with these and probably don’t know the meaning of them let alone see the connection. Property on a map is what everything needs to say. An Estate Agent can be impressed to know that he can have all his property plotted on a map. Maybe the logo should show a hint of this in a subtle way? Maybe too hard to do? Magnifying glasses, roofs and keys are just too cliché and say “Estate Agent”, not what the product is really about. The product is plotting little 3D houses on a live map.

we better delete our submissions from the abandoned contests, there are so many of them on this web site.
