I am a pet photographer and I am looking to redesign my online and print materials to present a more consistent branding. To do this, I would like to start with a new, beautiful logo to build around. I am currently using a text logo and I would really like the new one to have both a text and image component that can be used together or separately as needed.

I tend to prefer more muted tones and really like the combination of turquoise and brown or green and brown. Some color combos from Kuler that could be used as starting points are October Full Moon and Birdwatching, though I am open to other combinations folks might come up with. Websites whose style I really like include http://cheninboutwell.com (LOVE her watermark) and http://imagegardendesign.com (like the more toned down colors here)
Some words that would describe the look and feel that I am going for would be subdued, vintage, texture, natural, organic… you get the idea. I have been tossing around the idea of somehow incorporating a stylized version of an old photograph, with the white border and black photo corner mounts but again, am open to other ideas more creative minds might have. It should be something that will look good both on the website/blog, as well as business cards, promotional material, etc.
The text should say Nizhoni Pet Photography in a font that complements the style of the image. My only real requirement is no Scriptina… I hate Scriptina.

i do occasionally shoot other types of animals, but dogs and cats make up 99% of what I do (and dogs are the majority of that…). i’m not against other animal types in the logo, per se, but it would really just depend on the overall look.
also, i forgot to mention in the description that i would like the winning logo to be delivered in format that would allow me to change the colors at some point in the future if needed, and to separate out the various components if needed.

when you mean pet do you meanany type of pets or domestic pets what kind of animals would you like to see? can it be any animal pets or do you want the animals such as dogs, cat, bird, rabbit.
