Opens: 16 March 2010
Closes: 31 March 2010
Prize value: US$200.00
Details:
We need a logo to be put on a bottle. The logo should help illustrate the benefits of Krill Oil. Target Audience: Target audience will be people who currently buy vitamins/supplements for health benefits. The audience age demographic is 30+. The target audience may not be aware of the benefits of Krill Oil and only be aware of the more popular Fish Oil. We would like them to understand the benefits of Krill Oil vs. Fish Oil. Krill Oil is 40-50x better than Fish Oil. Krill Oil is relatively new in the American market, therefore; proper education of its benefits are not readily available or marketed.
Core Value: Providing customers a daily supplement to benefit their health
Tone: Uplifting, Healthy, and Bright. Visual Look: We would like to see the incorporation of the human heart as Krill Oil benefits this organ the most. Something that incorporates the Mind, Body, and Heart look.
Astaxanthin, a naturally occurring carotenoid pigment, is a powerful biological antioxidant. Astaxanthin exhibits strong free radical scavenging activity and protects against lipid peroxidation and oxidative damage of LDL-cholesterol, cell membranes, cells, and tissues. Choline is found in krill phospholipids as part of the phosphatidylcholine molecule. Choline is not found in fish triglycerides.Choline has critical functions as a precursor to the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. Choline has critical functions as a precursor to the neurotransmitter acetylcholine.
When choline levels in the diet are not adequate, deficiency signs are most noted in:
Brain Muscles Liver
Other benefits include:
Krill omega-3 fatty acids are bound to phospholipids, as opposed to triglycerides; Krill PL contain choline, a neurotransmitter precursor important to brain and muscle tissue. Astaxanthin, a naturally-occurring carotenoid molecule with powerful antioxidant activity.
As we don’t have strict guidelines as to what we want to represent. We would definitely like to see various blue colors being used to represent the sea in some may, perhaps a Krill used a stamp in some way, and a silhouette of the human body sitting and “thinking” with the brain, heart, liver accented. We want the logo to be friendly and fun, not textbook style.
Initial thought was “The Thinker Statue by Auguste Rodin” something of that sort.
The brain, heart, and liver, we do not want these to look very realistic, more friendly and easy on the eyes.
We would like a 100% original logo.

Comments:
I didn’t find it any complicated either.
For me the brief is ok, I’m working in a logo for this competition
Personally, I find this to be quite tough to work on, maybe because of the nature of the product.
Ok folks – not a lot of entries here. Is there a problem with the brief – or do you just not get the product?
