Toose’s at Home is a retail store in New Brunswick, Canada selling unusual and eclectic Home and Garden Décor as well as fashion jewelry, shoellery and handbags. Our customers comment frequently that they find our products different. We carry quality products though not necessarily designer names. A lot of our product is unique and not available elsewhere in our area- a great deal of time is spent selecting our product to ensure that the quality and the appearance exemplifies Toose’s image.
Our target market is women with disposable incomes between the ages of 25 and 60. They are stylish and image conscious and looking for something a little more unique. Often, we have husbands in the store as well selecting presents for their wives or for their home.
Specific terms to describe the store are classy, quality, unusual, eclectic, elegant, selective, attractive, sophisticated and stylish. We are a new small business with two store fronts, opened within the last year. One of the stores is seasonable and located in a seaside, high end tourist resort area. The other store is located in an affluent bedroom community. The logo needs to be recognizable, memorable as well as stylish. As an independent store, our branding needs to differentiate ourself from large chain stores. Some of our competitors include Winners, Pier One and Wicker Emporium. In the near future, we plan to open an online operation; we intend to use the logo for that purpose as well.
We are currently using the colours pistachio green and dark navy blue. We are open to other colour combinations but we do have some investment already in those colours for packaging.
The current tag line is “Unusual & Eclectic Home and Garden Décor†though we are open to changing it. We don’t care for our current logo, which is located at http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Tooses-at-Home/411455151270?ref=ts

Most of the cards are only capturing the words of the business name using different fonts which is giving the image some limitations. Maybe an abstract image with colour or a photo image with colour??
