Nice logo and the Type is good

EXCELLENT. Love the typeface which matches the curvy furniture. Logo is simple enough to put on merchandise.

Visually, this is really really good! But I don’t think this is what they are looking for. Their furniture is way too risque and upmarket. At the moment you logo is abit too ‘playful’. Maybe its the blue. I would do away with the tiny tagline as well. Nice job though toon. Always love seeing your work mate.

ok guys lets explain ….

a) all im stating and by now way implying is that the logo has a stroke on an unmodified letterform from a foundry, point being the other option which uses the font http://www.logosauce.com/logos/1007 im just stating that because its not unique the mark/signature/ symbol NOT LOGOTYPE is devalued …. as its not modified.

b) toon i think the letterform needs a bit more work and will look more considered or at least something which has some concept. I think the ambigram option i forget the designers name is awesome shows consideration and understanding. Maybe thats the problem one has a concept and this does but not fully.

c) to all the other designers these are my opinions, and suggestions, nothing has slated your work yet you seem to take offence to the opinion, its a good design in aesthetics but nothing more .. if thats what design is then fair enough …

d) i look forward to zero votes when i upload mine :)

mockup that is an absolute load of tosh you make no sence, I think the logo is class and the typograhpy is fine.

To mockup are you saying it’s a copy??

very nice icon but feel the type is not as considered and echo what Chanpion is saying but very nice nonetheless , 2nd comment tagged play with the icon (denisito’s option)a bit more as simply using the font is not totally creative .. add a foot stool just to give it a bit more variety … yes cryptic but there is a great logo in the making

To LL the logo is fine nothing more .. check the other logos in the competition the Icon is nothing more than the R of one of the other logos is my point …

MOCKUP and yes, I have no logo’s uploaded, so that may be “the pot calling the kettle black”, but hold on, I’ve thought i would have a look at all your excellen logos, but you have none, so I say “Ditto” to the kettle, black, pot comment…....

MOCKUP what the hell are you on about? this logo is fantastic, the best so far if I may say so, it’s going to take quite a lot to stop this from winning! Before you put negative comments on other people’s design work, I suggest you show us yours.

I think the logo is good because the icon stands out and it could be used on it’s own. Also the font choice and colour choices are very good. Good effort Toon!

I agree with Sonic. I think it looks very 2.0ish. mockup, I completely disagree with you. The logo is great, and by far the best one posted.

Mockup, regarding your point A I would say that similarities in typefaces show that clear themes and directions are coming to mind in the minds of designers – no bad thing. However, Toon’s typeface is significantly different, especially in terms of readability, which as you concur yourself in your point C proves that design is much more than aesthetics; it is longevity, usability, versatility, and the best design imparts a clear understanding of a brand’s personality, without flourishes or overembellishment.

I see that you prefer the more outre look of entry 1007. But does it function as a logo more effectively?

I believe that Toon’s logo is an excellent entry. The danger with over-conceptualising a logo is that the Brand and marketplace outgrow it extremely quickly – leaving your logo ( a symbol of recognition and an indelible mark on your customer’s mind) a fleeting fancy that your target audience finds dated before they’ve even grown to associate you with it.

Not sure what planet you are on – but this site (sort of forum) is completely open and it is the community (users) who comment and vote. There is no colusion that you are hinting at. Toon just happens to be a good designer and is participating in good faith.

We have no idea where you are coming from – your comments are just plain negative and I don’t think that anyone here really wants to read negative comments. Try an be constructive mate.
