One of my favorites…

Thanks! :-) Do you need a version with the subline “your online guide to lifestyle”?

(already voted) by Age over 4 months ago.

It’s not necessary but go ahead and let’s see what it looks like!

Nice, but maybe too close to Flaunt?

(already voted) by altamarea over 4 months ago.

@allaboutseb: I don’t think so. :) To use a cross as a “t” isn’t the big thing… I used a distinctive font and modified the T in order to get a cross. And I think that as in Limité the “t” is much more legible as in the “flaunt” logo… for example: you can read flaunt as “flaun plus”... :)

Can you place this against an image so I can see how it looks?

@Age: Do you have something special in mind? Any picture from your website?

Close also to Philippe Starck’s logo

(Sorry to be the bearer of more bad news…)

@all: there will be more logos in the world which uses the “t” as a cross… and guys… these are one of our basis design principles… it’s like using a ”!” instead of an “i” or some round element instead of the “o” or melting to letters together (ligatures), etc. ... come on… don’t waste your time! :)

read it as “LIMI” plus “E”. I definitely didnt get that it is supposed to work as a ‘t’ at all. @altamarea, since you realize so many other logos use the same concept of a cross for a “t”, then why submit such an unoriginal concept?

Congrats…

I think the “t” question is only a problem of target. Sure my grandmother didn’t read “limité”, but everyone under 35/40 years old read the ”+” like a “t”. It’s clear, simple and powerfull…i like it, congratulazioni!!

I’m going to chime in on this one because of the legalities. I agree that the ‘plus’ replacing a ‘t’ is very common, but with another lifestyle magazine using it already, it’s an infringement. Flaunt has owned that trademark of the ”+” in the logo for a lifestyle magazine for several years. Both magazines represent the same type of service/good so Flaunt could easily say that the Limite Logo confuses Flaunt clientele. For the record, Flaunt has been publishing for nine years, so they have proof of ownership first.

Thanks guys! My first competition win!!! Yeah!!! :)

Yes, congrats altamarea on your first win. But for your part, it would be nice for you to gain some copyright and trademark knowledge for future, basically because what your design infringes on, is as much your financial responsibility as is your client.
