Notes:

Although you’ve specifically implied that you’d ideally like to avoid kites and strings etc, I did think that the ‘kicking’ part of the ‘K’ of ‘Kite’ and the ‘swirly’ look of an ‘s’ either for ‘String’ or Studio’ would make for a good icon; where both the letters and graphic were identifiable, to the point where (once the graphic was known), you could use that on its own.
