the shape – unique, emotional and catchy This Concepts shows two happy faces and the company name/URL

After checking the logos you’ve provided, I refrained of including shapes of mountains/rocks and climbing people. These motives are outworn and wouldn’t differ very much from each other. As you said by yourself, the community “feel good” image is critical, I kept this in mind and came up with two friendly, inviting faces which attract everybody to check out you site. A smile is very emotional it’s universally understood amoung young and older climbers all around the globe. As you wrote in the brief “We’re a Climbing Community! If you’re a climber you will probably like it, check it out, we are waiting for you”. It also stresses your philosophy of “don’t be evil” :)

the colors – natural and inviting As I read that your target audience likes outdoors and nature, I knew that you and them won’t be satified by any synthetic looking colors. What you need are colors your audience remembers from their climbing trips, colors they used to see in nature! A warm natural green as primary color, which reminds you of the healthy vivid feeling when you’re outside climbing, exploring and having a good time with your friends. Orange is used as secondary color, it’s warm character reminds you of the warming sunbeams in the morning, when you’re cold and your fingers are stiffy, or the warm air in the sunset of a perfect climbing day.

The combination of these colors is as natural and idyllic as flowers with green leaves and beautiful orange blossoms. Warm colors are most inviting and work great for any community based website!

Among other climbing logos these shape with these colors will be unique and outstanding. I know your audience will love it, because I’m a amateur Kletterer (german for climber) by my own!
