About:

I am a highly experienced graphic designer based in Cheshire, England. I like to use Adobe Illustrator as my main tool, it’s accurate and works the way I expect it to, ever since I started using it in the 1990s. But since I’m using a PC at home I sometimes use some of the great ‘bargain basement’ illustration programs such as Xara Xtreme and Serif Drawplus.

I prefer doing single or spot colour work, I think a logo stands or falls on it’s single colour or mono version. And I like to start by designing this kind of logo, not a 3D, shiny, reflecting, shadowed, textured effort with no beauty in it’s form or substance. Really looking forward to customers getting sick of the whole Web 2.0 styling cliches!
